DMP – Direktoratet for 
medisinske produkter


DMP is a directorate under the Ministry of Health and Care Services, tasked with ensuring that all medicines used in Norway are of good quality, safe to use, and have the desired effects.

The visual profile is based on DMP’s societal mission, strategy, and core values. We have named the design concept behind it “systematic overview.” This concept is about expressing, with subtle and contemporary elements, the directorate’s role as a guide with insight and perspective. The directorate is explorative, advancing new knowledge for the benefit of people and animals. DMP sees both the details and the big picture, reflected in a hexagon grid system that creates graphic elements using creative coding.

The work includes facilitating an initial insights and strategy process, concept development, the creation of a logo and visual identity, and implementing the identity across templates and in analog and digital media, including small adjustments and colours for the directorate’s new website.
