OsloMet was established as a new metropolitan university — urban, diverse, and forward-looking, with a new name needing a new strategy and visual. The identity is built around a simple idea: direction. A system of minimal elements creates a clear and flexible framework, designed to work across a large and complex organization.
At its core is the arrow — a familiar symbol, refined and redefined. It acts both as a visual anchor and a functional element, guiding navigation, structure, and communication across touchpoints.
The design system is deliberately reduced, allowing the identity to scale while remaining recognisable and easy to use. It balances clarity and character, supporting both institutional needs and a more dynamic, contemporary expression.
The result is a distinct and adaptable identity, aligned with OsloMet’s role in shaping new knowledge and practices.
