Fabel is a Norwegian audiobook streaming service featuring both leading Norwegian authors and popular international titles.
Together with Fabel, we developed a new e-commerce experience built around the entire customer journey — from discovery to subscription and ongoing use. The goal was to strengthen the brand, attract new users, and create a more cohesive and flexible digital foundation.
One of the key concepts is the “bookshelf” system, a flexible content structure where books, authors, and editorial content are arranged in dynamic rows that adapt to the content, inspired by physical bookshelves. This creates a more tactile and curated browsing experience, while supporting editorial control and variation. It’s a modular design system that allows content to be composed dynamically across the site, and extended into other platforms like the app.
As part of the project, we further developed Fabel’s visual identity for digital use and established a more distinct and scalable design language.
