OsloMet
The new metropolitan university is urban and diverse, with a distinct international character. It generates new knowledge and practices through relevant research, the use of new technology, and updated, student-centered learning methods. The new visual identity was designed to increase awareness and applications to OsloMet by highlighting the core of its brand: new knowledge – new practices.
The brand’s visual identity is based on a few, simple, core elements. A streamlined design system ensures usability and impact in its expression. The logo and color choices challenge, OsloMet engages, and provides literal direction as it’s well known (but redesigned) arrow.
In January 2018, the Oslo and Akershus University College was accredited as a university and renamed OsloMet. The university is Norway’s third largest and second newest, with an important societal mission: through research and education, OsloMet is to contribute to creating the welfare society of the future. Our task was to assist the university in clarifying, actualizing, and realizing this mission through strategic consulting, brand development, and design.
